How are you different than other companies like yours?

With Developmental Consultants, we create a plan specifically for your child and then communicate with you after every session. All work is done on a one-to-one basis. We have a very personal relationship with each child which is founded on trust and communication. Your child works at their pace and comfort level, but we guide the sessions. Our approach, level of communication, and relationship makes us stand out.

What qualifications do you have?

Robyn Laub OT/R holds a BHS in OT Health Sciences from the University of Florida and is completing her Masters Degree in developmental disabilities at Nova University with a concentration in Transition to Adulthood for the Young Adult with Disabilities. She has completed over 5000 hours of continuing education classes in various techniques and therapy styles, enabling her to become one of Florida’s most respected OT/R’s. Since 1994 Robyn has helped with more than 600 young people achieve greater independence in their lives.

What can I expect when you work with my child?

Increased communication, less frustration, and a stronger sense of self-reliance. Every child is different. We base our approach from the medical diagnosis, our own evaluation, and then the creation of a customized treatment plan. Once a treatment plan is created, we set goals which are designed to be achievable with a bit of work. We help build confidence and good habits, with the intent helping your child be successful in the next stages of life. ere.

What do I need to get started?

You can schedule a consultation here. Following the consultation and review of your child’s medical information, we create a treatment plan and start working. n answer here.

How long does it take to get started?

Generally we can have an evaluation scheduled and therapy sessions beginning the following week.

How long are the sessions? How often do you work with my child?

Most sessions last one hour and occur once per week.

Are all of the sessions in person?

Usually sessions are in person, taking place in our office or at your child’s school. Zoom sessions are available upon request.

Do you take credit cards and insurance? Can I file out of network?

We do accept credit cards, however we do not accept insurance. All services are self-pay. We will gladly give you the information you can file with your insurance company to request out of network benefits.
